We are thrilled to share a beautiful story that began in 2024, a journey of connection, culture, and kinship. Eight of our participants traveled across the Atlantic to London, where we convened with our Black British brothers and sisters in an extraordinary week of exploration and discovery.

Our seven-day itinerary was full and unforgettable:

• We immersed ourselves in London’s rich history and iconic landmarks.

• We held powerful workshops on Eldership and shared deeply about the common threads between the Black British and Black American experiences.

• We gathered for intergenerational storytelling and had a transformative full-day session with elders who had completed the six-week Understanding Eldership Workshop.

• And, of course, we made time for joy, socializing, celebrating, and building lasting bonds.

The impact was profound. It was so meaningful that we made a collective decision: every year, we will meet somewhere in the world.  It’s a chance to: Fellowship with like-minded elders; Explore a vibrant center of the African diaspora; Rest, relax, and regenerate in a nurturing and inspiring environment.
